Description

Lime rotary kilns can quickly improve preheating efficiency and increase the decomposition rate of calcium carbonate. They offer high finished product activity, low rates of underburning and overburning, and significant energy conservation and environmental protection.
We can successfully develop a series of active lime production lines with daily outputs ranging from 200 to 1,200 tons based on user needs. We provide integrated services from feasibility studies, design, equipment, civil engineering, installation, commissioning, and ultimately achieving full production and compliance.
A lime rotary kiln consists of a cylinder, support system, variable speed drive, retaining wheel, kiln tail and head seals, and a kiln head hood. We also offer spare parts processing, eliminating customer concerns.

Working Principle

The kiln body is tilted relative to the horizontal. It is equipped with two sets of support devices. The support roller bearings are water-cooled, lubricated sliding bearings with spherical bushings for automatic center of gravity adjustment. A hydraulic stopper is located near the large ring gear. The kiln body is driven by a variable-frequency motor and an auxiliary drive. Spring-type seals are used at the kiln head and tail. The variable-frequency motor drives the kiln body, combined with the preheater decomposition rate, to effectively control calcination time and temperature, achieving the required under- and over-burning performance.
The material enters the kiln at the kiln tail (the upper end of the cylinder) for calcination. Due to the cylinder's tilt and slow rotation, the material tumbles circumferentially and then moves axially (from the upper end to the lower end), continuing the decomposition and calcination process. After undergoing physical and chemical changes, the resulting clinker passes through the kiln head hood and is cooled in a grate cooler. Fuel is sprayed into the kiln at the kiln head, and the exhaust gases from combustion exchange heat with the material before being discharged at the kiln tail.

The furnace body utilizes a fully enclosed calcination mechanism, and the kiln's refractory insulation utilizes multiple layers of refractory material for excellent lightness. The design life of the refractory insulation layer is over five years. To effectively utilize energy, heat exchange is implemented between the upper and lower sections of the kiln, reducing heat loss from both ends.
03. Utilization of a Frequency Converter for Energy-Saving Operation
The power supply used in this lime kiln is controlled and operated by a frequency converter, eliminating the phenomenon of a large horse pulling a small cart or no-load operation, saving an average of over 40% in electricity.
